Ingredients:
Carrot(grated) - 2 cups
Milk - 4 cups
Sugar - 3/4 cup (According to the sweet preference)
Salt - a pinch
Cardamom - 1/2 tsp
Ghee - 2 tbsp
Cashew, Pista, Almonds - as per your wish
Saffron flower - 6-7 strands
Procedure:
- In a heavy bottom pan, boil milk with carrot, sugar and salt.
- Once carrot is cooked, simmer the flame and leave this mixture till the milk reduces and the mixture doesn't stick to the pan.
- At this point add 1tbsp of ghee, cardamom and saffron flower to the mixture and mix it well.
- Remove it from the flame .
- Now roast the cashews in the remaining ghee.
- Garnish the halwa with roasted cashews.
- Carrot Halwa is ready.... Delicious, isn't it !!!
